This course is about learning the science of radiation and the effect of radioactive isotopes on the environment.

Due to the Fukushima nuclear reactor accident (3.11), a substantial amount of radioactive substances were emitted into the atmosphere. Subsequently, land including forest, farm, and rice field as well as ocean are polluted. Understanding the science behind this accident accoupled with sociological context, students gained a multidisciplinary view towards this accident.
This course is offered by the University of Tokyo, I took this course during the exchange program (GoGlobal).
